Robert Richardson is a clinical faculty member at the Johns Hopkins School of Education in the Urban Teachers program. He has nearly two decades of experience teaching mathematics, mathematics education, and computer science in K-12, undergraduate, and graduate school settings. In addition to his role with JHU, Robert serves as a mathematics education instructor in UMBC's MAED program, an undergraduate mathematics instructor in Towson University's Freshman Transition Program, and a curriculum consultant for computer science education organizations. Alongside this work, Robert has also created and employed computational thinking programs for underserved K-5 students in Baltimore and built training programs with the University of Virginia to help increase diversity in STEM classrooms. He also provides ongoing consultation on culturally responsive pedagogy to educational organizations. Robert's current educational projects leverage belongingness and authentic opportunity for mathematics participation in an effort to increase advanced mathematics equity in urban schools.
